A colorful book of art inspiration! We 100% agree!!
One afternoon Jack read me this book and it literally inspired us to break out the art supplies.
I decided to read the story again with all the boys. It was interesting to see how they wanted to discuss the emotions associated with each color. Their favorite thing was to assign which color and emotion matched the different personalities in our family. It was genuinely a deeper conversation than I was anticipating.
We all contributed to the first project with the goal of using as many colors as possible.
Then each of the boys created on their own.
I plan on revisiting the book on a day we’re actually painting. I think watercolors will turn out beautifully. We’re focused on fine motor skills so I wanted some extra scissor work for the boys.
